All-Inclusive Family Paradise at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Cabo
A heart felt thanks to the wonderful marketing staff at Pueblo Bonito who invited me to experience this treasure filled family paradise. We return to Cabo because of the people, culture and kindness. Everyone at all their resorts provide top-notch customer service.
It’s an easy trip for us, as it’s a two-hour flight from LA and Phoenix and an ideal meeting spot for my extended family to all join together where the desert meets the sea. You never need a reason to return to Cabo… it just calls you back. We trust the transportation that is recommended by the resort. We worked with Epic Group Los Cabos and they had a nice upscale SUV with a friendly driver who picked us up. It’s really convenient when your car service is this organized.
Pueblo Bonito has many properties in Cabo. Sunset Beach resort is gigantic as you can see in picture above. If you’re room is in upper buildings, you need to take golf-cart service to get to many places such as lobby, resort market place, beach etc. It’s a stunning resort but I suggest you plan 10 minutes for all your pick-ups from your room to where you’re going. The kids loved the golf cart rides, it’s so fun to drive and cool off in the breeze. A great perk of direct booking at Sunset Beach is there’s no modification fees, option to pay one night deposit and there’s free cancellations.
Sunset Beach is an all-inclusive (Optional), luxury family oceanfront resort is placed perfectly so you can see the turquoise blue sea and enjoy the many luxurious swimming pools with swim up bars.
Situated on a private quiet serene beach you’ll be mesmerized by the rolling white puffy waves and vast Pacific Ocean. There’s a fabulous Kid’s Fun Lab here as well, so when your kiddos are done in the sun, they can chill out indoors in the mini arcade/movie theater.
This particular location, at Sunset Beach is great for families with tweens and teens, offers private beach access, six swimming pools, a children’s pool, and a playground. The resort’s Kids Club has arts and crafts, beach activities, pool games, and board games. There are also Spanish language primers, aqua aerobics, cooking classes, and dance lessons led by top instructors. Babysitting for younger children is easily arranged.
If you’re a family, you’ll want to opt into the all-inclusive plan. One of our favorite places was Tazuna where we had “Sunset and Sushi” outdoors. It was dreamy. But we really loved the new Market at Quivira. Very chic and well-suited for families. This hotel offers it’s guests 7 bars and 12 restaurants and 5 other bars at sister properties which are apart of the all-inclusive program.
Gorgeous Food Court for All Tastes – THE MARKET AT QUIVIRA
We did all-inclusive as we like to order on the run, in the room and on the beach. Kids are never hungry when we are so it’s always top priority that our stays are all-inclusive. The Market welcomes Pueblo Bonito resort guests to enjoy its array of food and beverage options with their all-inclusive plans. Only the chocolate shop is not included in the all-inclusive program. We were impressed with the new Market at Quivira. Offerings such as tacos, salads w/ house-made dressing, fresh sushi, deli sandwiches, burgers, pizza, tasty Bolognese and chocolate, pastries & ice cream are all situated around a charming wine & cocktail bar…
They’ve got it all! Isn’t that the cutest burger joint pictured above? Kids loved it. Each member of my family got a dish from a different restaurant, then we all sat together outdoors on the patio and ate in the warm Mexican breeze — Just pure delight. Access to The Market at Quivira in itself is worth the all-inclusive plan.
SUPER EXECUTIVE and PRESIDENTIAL SUITE – family home away from home
Our suite was 2 bedroom and beautifully appointed with marble baths, cedar woodwork, feather-top beds and regional art. Our spacious Super Executive Suites featured spectacular ocean views and a Jacuzzi. These premium accommodations have a fully equipped kitchenette, dining area with table and chairs, a cozy living area with a sofa sleeper, and a private bedroom furnished with a plush king bed or two queens. Was absolutely perfect for family of 6 – 8 people.
The rooms are really tranquil luxury. Sink into blissful abandon the moment you enter your expansive ocean view suites.
SNORKLE & El ARCO TOURS WITH PEZ GATO CABO
We booked the snorkel tour, which sails to beautiful Santa Maria Bay, where we swam in tropical waters with abundant sea life. We like this boat, as it was big and roomy. Sometimes these boats are cramped, but Pez Gato has spacious fleets.
From the moment you step on board the Pez Gato, you will enjoy their unparalleled service with entertaining crew, delicious sandwiches and chips/salsa and plenty of beautiful scenery.
Started in 1985, the Pez Gato is Cabo’s very first sailing tour. With more than 30 years of experience, the Pez Gato has the premier reputation for safety and fun! It is $80 USD per person children 5-11 are half price and under 5 are free. Tours last about 4 hours.
SPLASHING AROUND AT THE SKY POOL
There are many stunning swimming pools. One of the best pools in the area rests high above Cabo, a top the cliffs of Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach is The Sky Pool! We chilled out high in the sky while kids were at Fun Lab! This resort is so big you’ll have plenty of refreshing pools to choose from. BRING RAFTS. It provides so much more fun in the pool with beverage in had while basking in the sun! As at most resorts, you need to get to your pool of choice very early, like at 10 am or the seats go quickly.
The awesome Sky Pool and bar looks beyond the hotel property and displays one of the greatest stretches of tranquil horizon, where the Pacific ocean joins the skyline — Just above the stunning lobby, the pool offers a swim up bar, menu, hands-down best lounge chair view, a two-tier infinity pool (a view to die for) and an even higher hot tub with an awe-inspiring evening outlook of the Pacific tide that is unmatched in all of Los Cabos.
To get to sky pool, you need to take the golf cart shuttle.
SERENE PRIVATE BEACH
We adored our private beach bed experience on the sand. There’s no better way to luxuriate on a Los Cabos beach than on a private, curtained bed. Kids napped in the beach beds while we had some wine and soaked up the sun.
Complete with a dedicated butler to tend to any and all our needs—delivering gourmet food, refreshing beverages, sunscreen, and more—all the stresses of daily life blew away on the breezes of Sunset Beach. Be aware, this beach is NOT FOR SWIMMING. You can shuttle to their other property “Rosé” (See photo below) for a wonderful crystal clear ocean and snorkel beach swim day!
HOP ON SHUTTLE BUS AND TAKE KIDDOS TO SWIM BEACH!
Each day we set aside to swim at the famous El Médano beach – It’s very easy and convenient to hop on the hotel’s free shuttle (15 minutes drive) to Pueblo Bonito Rosé Resort located right in the middle of all the Cabo action.
Just know this lovely beach is not private and that vendors are selling to tourists all day. If it’s not your thing, don’t choose this beach. The kids loved the vendors, they got henna tattoos, hats, jewelry and fun Mexico memorabilia, while I got my Bo Derek braids. It’s part of the culture and charm, and we support it every time we go. And of course,at every turn, my wonderful sharp-shooting photographer captures our best moments with my sister (Pic below!) and the kids.
If you want to swim in the ocean, take the free shuttle from Sunset Beach Resort to their sister resort, “Pueblo Bonito Rosé” it is so lovely! If you have the all-inclusive plan you can enjoy all the food and drinks here!
The ocean is warm, calm, clear and fabulous. The kids swam for hours. Each night I would grab my raft, jump in the ocean and watch the sunset while floating with a strawberry daiquiri in hand. It was dreamy.
FUN LAB
Need time alone from kiddos? We did. We dined out while our teens went to Fun Lab. Our kids really enjoyed the urban-themed Fun Lab at Sunset Beach – it has arcade games, basketball machine, X-box, a movie theater, and a soda fountain that serves nachos, pizza, hot dogs, popcorn and ice cream. Be sure to put your kids on a budget, as this service is pay to play.
PICTURE PERFECT ENDING – WE WILL BE BACK TO PARADISE
TRAVEL BLOGGER DISCLOSURE
Pueblo Bonito provided our accommodations and meals. The point of the trip is to bring traveling families to Cabo and to talk about what we see and how to experience Mexico; my primary focus is travel with kids. No one has told me that I cannot post negative information. No one has told me that I must say positive things. I am always as objective as I can possibly be. I only promote products, services and vacations that contribute to a family’s well-being. Plus, I’m in love with the culture and would come back just as often even if I were not a travel blogger. It’s magnificent.
