How To Deal With Bossy Kids

No parent wants a bossy kid, but we all know that at some point our young child will enter the “Bossy” phase. Sometimes children learn controlling behaviors from their older siblings, so in turn they boss their friends around.  Children tend to be bossy because they have a need to feel heard or to feel powerful. Be sure to provide opportunities for your child to feel powerful so that they don’t end up bossy — Encourage children to:
USE THEIR WORDS – SPEAK KINDLY – ASK AN ADULT FOR HELP. You should KNOW YOUR CHILD and THEIR PLAYMATES and always EMPATHIZE.
