Bacara Ritz Carlton: The Perfect Family Stay-cay for UCSB Families
Excited to partner up with the Bacara Ritz Carlton for this College Family story! Last year the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company acquired the Bacara Santa Barbara and added to it’s collection of luxurious global properties, so it really was the perfect opportunity for my family to finally visit. This is the time of year my teen is taking many of the UC colleges campus tours. This week we were UC Santa Barbara bound!
As a good mama does, I invited his other Eagle Scout counter parts to join in our inspection of the University. I snapped this shot of the boys after their UCSB tour… They’re so sweet. I just adore traveling with them.
It was a delight to see many of the Bacara hotel employees cheering the boys on, as they too were UCSB grads!
Not only is this hotel pearched on a magnificent ocean front land, but it secluded from the city and the grounds are lush, calming and very clean.
I took this photo at 7 am as I had my coffee on our patio. As the boys slept in I was able to do some work outdoors in peace and quite. We are so lucky and blessed to live in California as the weather is often this glorious all year round.
The hotel is very big. We did have concierge send a golf cart for us to get around! The boys were exhausted from the tour in the 90 degree heat. So they absolutely loved that I booked our stay at Bacara. They figured they’ll be gone for 4 years and if mom makes Bacara a stay-cay, they’ll be set for sure with that fresh ocean breeze and awesome hot tub nuzzled between the palm trees.
They ended their college tour with a chill time in the room.
We had a lovely suite with living room and connected king room. Then at sunset when the families cleared the pool, we went on a beach walk and then for a dip in the pool. Since we had many large boys in our group I opted to order food in to keep our food costs in check! We ordered from PostMates.com and I was please to see that the hotel was okay with that!
The kids hung out in pool and mama had some wind down time. This hotel is just stunning, the minute you walk in the room you want to jump in the bath and luxuriate. And that’s what I did.
The staff was very kind. I noticed that this particular property really paid attention to everybody and spoke with courteous and joyous attitudes. We really appreciated that and wanted to mention it in our story. They make you want to stay, or come back.
This is a luxury hotel, so you’ll have to pay the price for spacious luxury rooms, gourmet dining, attentive staff and of course, the oceanfront experience.
