I’m Letting Go. How About you?
“Have no fear of perfection – you’ll never reach it.” ― Salvador Dalí
Holding on to unresolved issues from the past takes up space in your body. They go everywhere with you unconsciously, their vibrational energy drives your current moods and decisions. Your ego loves to control your body and current decisions. The ego thrives off your past by licking your wounds and encouraging you to do more, more, more – Because the more you do, the less pain you’ll feel. Keeping super busy is a beautiful distraction isn’t it? Being a busy-bee never allows you time for solitude or centeredness to bask in the deep quality of your life. God forbid we sit still — because we risk a ‘task list’ or a ‘pending text’ popping up in our minds.
When you reject the negative state that spoon-feeds your ego, you’re filled with constant physical energy and internal peace – you may even take a trip to the side of planet that thrives on love, peace, compassion and competency. I am perfect just the way I am and so are you. I don’t need one more degree, more babies, a better paying job, bigger house or more exposure for my brand. I need to be thankful and mindful that where I am today is where I’m supposed to be. Operating in fear keeps all good things from growing to their fullest potential. What if I’m not good enough, skilled enough, young enough, liked enough? Holding on to ‘old’ ways of being or thinking, weigh you down. When you operate from familiar negative ways, you’re an emotional hoarder. Only you have control over your thoughts and perception of the world. You can let go. Are you ready to finally accept personal responsibility for emotional growth? – I’m letting go. How about you?
“Sometimes letting things go is an act of far greater power than defending or hanging on.”
— Eckhart Tolle
